Creative Writing Classes

In person and online. Beginning in September. Information to follow.

Writing and Editing Services

In addition to my extensive experience as an ESL teacher, I am also a published/award-winning writer of short stories.
I provide second-language as well as native English speakers with various editorial services.

These include the following:
- essay editing (college, university, personal)
- academic application assistance/editing (e.g. graduate school, teacher's college)
- web/internet (editing or producing) content for your website or blog
- resume editing/writing
- memoir writing and/or ghost-writing/editing of personal writing
- editing of creative writing (poetry, fiction, creative non-fiction)

Rates: $35 per hour (minimum 2-hour commitment)
A flat rate may also be negotiated, if more than one project is assigned

NOTE: Serious inquiries only. This is not an essay-writing service. I polish essays for academic purposes versus writing them from scratch.

Tutoring and ESL Support

I'm a passionate teacher of ESL, specializing in the tutoring of mainly advanced-level students as well as foreign-trained professionals and entrepreneurs who aim to elevate their vocabulary and increase fluency. With over 20 years’ experience in teaching as well as in curriculum development, I offer motivated students scholarly challenge and real-life/practical skills through both innovative and traditional methods. I often incorporate creative writing and the discussion/analysis of current events and artistic culture into my teaching practice - inspired by the interests and needs of my students.

Additional options:

- Editing of advanced academic papers and applications, resume review, etc.
- Creative Writing (poetry & short fiction) classes for second-language speakers, excellent for students interested in marketing, journalism and advertising

- Knit & Chat sessions - learn to knit, while enhancing your English conversation

- Book Club - 2 to 5 students read the same book and discuss the plotline and themes each week
